Individual Health Insurance Plans
Individual health insurance, is sometimes called private health insurance or personal health insurance. In its simplest form individual health insurance, refers to health coverage that is purchased by an individual directly from a broker or carrier (as opposed to selecting coverage through an employer, association or other group). Family health insurance, where you, your spouse and your children are all on the same plan, is still referred to as an individual health plan.
Some popular types of health insurance plans for individuals include, PPO health plans, Health Savings Accounts, and traditional Indemnity plans, but many other managed care options are available as well
Individual Health Insurance Quotes
Before purchasing a health plan for you and your family, you should always compare quotes from multiple health insurers before you buy. Be sure to compare not only the monthly premiums of plans you are considering, but also the underlying benefits, exclusions, and other out of pocket costs that you might be responsible for. Comparing health plans side-by-side before you buy will help to insure that the plan you ultimately select will best fit the needs and budget of you and your family. |
